Dr Maarten van der Kamp is EIT Food’s Director of Education. He is passionate about developing entrepreneurs that are equipped to respond to current and emerging environmental and social challenges to create a more sustainable society. In his role at EIT Food, Maarten leads the Education business and works with an ecosystem of 280+ partners to create and implement a robust portfolio of innovative educational programmes designed to transform the workforce across the food system. He developed the leading Competency Framework for innovation skills for the agrifood sector, which sets a clear standard for quality assurance in teaching and learning for innovation and entrepreneurship programmes. He is an expert in capacity and capability building and advises policymakers in Europe and the MENA region on how to address skills gaps. Maarten is also the President of Ecotrophelia Europe, the largest and oldest food innovation competition in Europe.
